Deep Community Roots
Jaclyn Hotard has deep roots in St. John the Baptist Parish starting with her grandmother, Julia Braud, was a waitress at Roussel's Restaurant for over 20 years, teaching Jaclyn at an early age about service and community. Her father, Edward "Pedro" Hotard, a lifelong resident of Laplace, was born and raised in the Milesville Area with his brother Bobby "Whitebean" Hotard. Her Mother, Kerry Donley, and maternal grandparents Floyd and Victoria Cortez Donley, are natives of Garyville and LaPlace, respectively. These deep roots further her commitment to the residents of St. John to protect our quality of life and continue to work towards preserving our heritage. "For generations, my family has been proud to call St. John home. It will be my commitment to ensure St. John is a place our future generations will be proud to call home".
Jaclyn resides in Laplace with her daughter, Cobi, who is in the eighth grade at John L. Ory Magnet School where she was named "Student of the Year" and has made the Honor Roll continuously since she started school. Cobi also reigns as the "Teen Queen of Hope", spreading cancer awareness and prevention, "one rhinestone at a time".
Your Continued Support
As your current council representative, my commitment to the residents of St. John remains as strong as ever and it has been an honor serving you. We have made much progress, however, there is much left to do. It will take experienced leadership to continue to get things done. With your continued support, we can build on our successes to bring St. John forward.
